Ooty is another place of tourist attraction in South. It is situated near Coimbatore ( 2 hrs journey). The main attraction is a narrow gauge train which is available to travel to Ooty. This train passes through forest & one can see elephants very close to the train or even on railway tracks.The famous song " Chal chhayya chhayya " from " Dil Se" picturised on Shahrukh Khan was picturised in this train.

Hill Stations In South are also excellent locations for honeymoon. But one will not get ice here as one gets in Himachal. Otherwise, South India is a very safe place. All hill stations are well-connected by bus & train & one can travel freely.

In off-season,Kodaikanal hotels charge Rs 400-500 for a double bedroom with attached toilet bath where a couple can stay comfortably.
But during season,charges are too much.Prior booking will help in those days to prevent inconvenience.
For couples who come for honeymoon,it is best to go with travels & tours as they will take care of hotel booking,luggage & couple can enjoy.
Multiple lodge & restaurants are available.Many people make arrangements for a city tour in their vehicles.First enquire properly otherwise these people charge too much.There will be a forest tour.This is nice.There is a good waterfall. Boating at Kodai Lake will be a wonderful experience.

Hanuman- Sankat-Mochan temple is situated at a distance of 5 km. One gets a wonderful view of Shimla from here.

Kufri is a location which provides wonderful snow for skiing lovers in winters.
